Weeksidoodle: February 6
Hey bros! Let’s gos!
Comedy Bang! Bang! is PRETTY star-studded this week: We have “Weird Al” Yankovic, we have Todd Glass and we have Broadway’s favorite daughter, Liza Minnelli!
Do you sense it? Do you sense the magic in the air? It’s probably because we have a magical episode of Professor Blastoff coming your way all about, well, magic.
This week we have a mini-sode for you on How Did This Get Made? If that isn’t enough, well you should head on over to Largo at the Coronet where Paul, June, Jason, and special guests like the aforementioned “Weird Al” will be presenting their hilarious thoughts on Birdemic: Shock and Terror. Be there!
Jake Fogelnest is this week’s Who Charted? guest. I’m not even going to feign neutrality about this. This is going to be great. Fogelnest is a gosh-darned delight and I’m super looking forward to it. If only we could get his cat Egon on the show too…
This week’s improv4humans features three of my absolute favorite improvisers: Jill Donnelly, Charlie Sanders and the ever delightful Ben Schwartz! People wait in line for hours to see these people perform. You can listen to them wearing pajamas and eating cereal. You are very lucky.
I’m super excited that Sue Galloway is going to be on Totally Laime! I saw her one-person show, Pose, last week and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. It was a delight. This is going to be great. What a week!

It’s almost February you guys! Don’t forget to pay your rent. And, landlords, remember to wait until after Friday (payday) to cash your tenant’s rent checks because they’re probably really nice people who HAVE the money but are sometimes bad about saving money but they’re good for it I swear. *Phew* ON WITH THE SHOW NEWS!
Do you guys have a “litmus test” TV show? A show that you bring up when meeting new people and if they don’t love it, you know the relationship isn’t going anywhere? Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! is often that show for me, so I’m THRILLED that Tim & Eric themselves are joining James Adomian as guests on Comedy Bang! Bang! this week!
Don’t you wish you could time travel to Tuesday to get your weekly Professor Blastoff fix? Well, I can’t really help you there, but maybe once you hear this episode about the very topic you’ll be prepared for next week!
Have you guys watched Trespass yet? Paul, June, and Jason did and they made Rachael Harris join them. It is this week’s selection for How Did This Get Made? so hop to it!
Speaking of Jason Manztoukas, he’s on Who Charted? this week! I can sense you all getting excited. You are correct in your excitement.
Do you guys follow Megan Amram on Twitter? If not, you’ve made a mistake. I’ll forgive you if you tune in to Totally Laime this week where she is yukking it up.

Hey friends! How is everyone! I am busy. WE are busy. Earwolf is busy. Check out some of what we’re busy doing.
There are three lovely ladies joining us this week on Comedy Bang! Bang!: Tig Notaro, master of foley, and Ronna & Beverly. I think you’ll be hearing more of Ronna and Bev here on Earwolf! More to come on that…
Professor Blastoff is a lot like that Ted Nugent song, “IT’S A FREE FOR ALL!” Don’t worry though, there won’t be any Ted Nugent.
How Did This Get Made?! is a minisode this week. What do you think the movie will be? Oh my gosh you’re so wrong!
I know that you all watch Childrens Hospital. You simply MUST! So you must be as excited as I am for Erinn Hayes to join Who Charted?! this week!
The rest of the week will just have to be a surprise!

Hey friends. Those Golden Globes, am I right? Some people won some things and some people didn’t and that one show…okay, so I didn’t watch the Golden Globes. I was too busy PREPARING FOR A WEEK OF PODCAST DOMINATION! Join me!
Comedy Bang! Bang! this week features an old friend and a new friend: First timer Nick Offerman and everyone’s favorite pig, I mean actor, Paul Giamatti. I think you’ll respond a little something like this:
You’re welcome in advance, because this week’s Professor Blastoff is all about altruism.
Of course we’re revisiting Crank on How Did This Get Made?! Of course! Not only because it’s one of the best crazy movies ever, but Brian Taylor (the co-writer and director) is joining us this time around!
Matt Besser was on Who Charted?! a long, long time ago (in podcast years). I guess we should have him back, huh? Makes sense….
Speaking of Matt Besser, he’s back with yet another improv4humans! This week features Andy Daly, Horatio Sanz and Joe Wengert. You guys have all seen Inside the Master Class, right? If you love Besser and improv, you sort of have to watch it. Seriously. I’m about to make your day:
Curtis Gwinn has delighted us on How Did This Get Made? and improv4humans. Prepare to be ultra delighted by him this week as he takes a step into the Totally Laime household for an hour of delightfulness.

Hey ladies and fellas! I guess the h0liday break is officially over, huh? Well, I’ll let you in on some of the podcasts you can count on to make going back to work less painful.
Comedy Bang! Bang! is a big one this week. Scott has a big announcement and he has two big guests: Bob Odenkirk and Brian Huskey!
Professor Blastoff this week is discussing the hot button issue of sustainability. That’s nuts!
It’s minisode week on How Did This Get Made? Did everyone catch last week’s Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Pt 1 episode with Doug Benson? SO good!
Last week Earwolf favorite Brett Gelman made his premieres on improv4humans and Sklarbro Country. This week he takes it on over to Who Charted?! Gelmaniacs rejoice!
Zach Steel is totally not laime, but regardless he’s guesting on Totally Laime this week!
The rest you’ll just have to wait and find out!

You guys! It’s 2012! How is that even possible? There is a chance that one of the podcasts I’m going to mention will be the first podcast you listen to in 2012. Thus, it is with great pride that I present the following to you.
Comedy Bang! Bang! starts the year off right with two audience favorites: Andy Richter and Werner Herzog (we tried to get Paul F. Tompkins but he was unavailable).
Have you already started cheating on your New Year’s Resolutions? Then I guess this week’s Professor Blastoff about cheating is perfect for you!
Remember how a few days ago you counted down the seconds until midnight? Well now you’ll be counting down the seconds until Twilight…an episode of How Did This Get Made? about Twilight with Doug Benson, that is. Yes, these are only going to get more awkward and ham-fisted. Moving on.
Coming in at #1 on the “Best Episodes of Who Charted? of 2012,” the winner by a long shot: THIS WEEK’S EPISODE WITH DAVID WAIN! Granted, it is the only episode eligible.
This year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve featured Ryan Seacrest, Jenny McCarthy, and Lady Gaga. this week’s improv4humans features Curtis Gwinn, Sean Conroy and Brett Gelman!
Should old acquaintance be forgotten? Not if that acquaintance is Laraine Newman, who is finishing out the week on Sklarbro Country! So let’s pop some champagne, make out with a stranger, and have the best Earwolf New Year’s Week ever!

Hey friends! It’s almost the end of the year! Eek! Let’s close it up good, shall we? Oh, also, I’m including Christmas songs I like because that’s the level of power you get to exert when you have access to the Earwolf blog. DEAL WITH IT, friends!
It’s time for the Comedy Bang! Bang! Holiday Spectacular! No spoilers, but if there is a character or guest or game or segment you like in the podcast, it will probably be represented in this very special episode. Enjoy!
The Apple Sisters are making a list, checking it twice, and preparing us for the arrival of Father Christmas with a great new episode featuring Bob Odenkirk!
Have you been a Scrooge this holiday season? Then listen to the Professor Blastoff crew as they discuss greed. I was going to do a whole Christmas Carol theme with this about Tig, Kyle and David being different ghosts visiting you in the night, but I don’t have the energy to do it and you don’t have the interest in reading it.
Meow! How Did This Get Made? this week pounces on Catwoman with Jamie Denbo of Ronna & Beverely and Terriers fame. (Quick side note: I watched all of Terriers on Netflix Instant today. It’s so good! If you haven’t watched it yet, do it now! Past Totally Laime guest Jean Villepique and improv4humans guest Alex Fernie both show up and are great in it!)
Who Charted? is gettin’ all holly jolly with Andy Daly this week. About time he came back! Also, pretty soon you should be able to head to the Earwolf Store and pick up a special premium Who Charted? with Suit McGoo himself, Paul F. Tompkins. Pick it up!
If you’ve seen The League or really any mumblecore movie, you simply must love Mark Duplass. He’s joining us on Totally Laime this week!
This week’s Sklarbro Country is so supremely cool! It’s a celebration of the year’s best indie rock with Jonah Ray and Matt Price. It’s the perfect escape from the never ending crappy Christmas music we’re all subjected to this month!

Hey friends! So, this is going to be a short one this week as it’s the holiday season and we’re all busy (OKAY!?!?), so enjoy!
On the first day of this week my Earwolf gave to me, an episode of Comedy Bang! Bang! with Paul F. Tompkins, Erinn Hayes, Dan Telfer. Okay, I just decided that doing a cutesy 12 Days of Christmas thing is not going to work. ON TO THE NEXT BIT!
The Apple Sisters will keep you nice and warm with a special visit from Chris Hardwick!
BRODY IS BACK! Who Charted?! ENJOY IT!
Totally Laime is coming to you LIVE this week (not true) with special guest Chad Carter!
Annnnd, that’s literally all I have for you. Sorry about that. Want a funny video from The Birthday Boys to make it worth your while? Because I can do that!
