Phil Augusta Jackson
Phil Augusta Jackson is an improviser, actor, writer and musician who started studying at UCB in 2009.
He is a writer for Comedy Central’s Key & Peele and appears in Hulu’s new paranormal comedy, Deadbeat. He will also appear in season 3 of Comedy Central’s Kroll Show and is the resident poet on The Chris Gethard Show.
He has performed with UCB house teams THE REGULARS, Cipha Sounds Take It Personal, Improv Nerds, and ASSSSCAT 3000.
Phil has also performed in the NYC indie improv scene with the wonderful players of Jump On Three, Dreamboat, Kelly Cash, and sketch with Cardigan Comedy.
Phil is a playwright, and his self-produced piece, The Dinner Plan, enjoyed a sold-out run at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre. When he’s not doing these things, he produces and writes music.
Phil graduated from the University of Virginia and soon after studied acting at Michael Howard studios before enrolling at UCB.
Prior to getting the comedy bug, Phil was a Strategy Director at an advertising agency.
