Finally it’s Glory day! Kevin “Glory tear” Avery & Kamau are excited to get to tackle an iconic Denzel film, 1989‘s Glory. It’s the movie that won Denzel his first Oscar. And it’s the movie that taught Kamau that things don’t always work out for black people in movies.They talk about how Matthew Broderick in the movie is like Ferris Bueller being thrown into the Civil War, Morgan Freeman kicking ass, and of course they discuss the most referenced Denzel moment in the history of their podcast, the iconic Glory tear scene.
