Emmy-winning actor JAY THOMAS was best known to audiences as hockey star Eddie LeBec on “Cheers” and tabloid talker Jerry Gold on “Murphy Brown,” but he was also a show business renaissance man, working as a stand-up, disc jockey, sportscaster and reality show host.
