Stephen Ruddy

Stephen Ruddy worked for the State Department in Guantanamo Bay, and the U.N. in Western Sahara and Algeria, before deciding to settle in NYC. He began studying at the UCBT in 2002, where he majored in Applied Mathematics. No, wait, it was Improv. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Ancient History, and has also studied at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. He improvises, acts, directs, and writes all over NYC. Stephen created Gravid Water in 2004, which he also directs and frequently performs in at UCBT. Gravid Water has also enjoyed a successful run, produced by Charna Halpern, at Chicago’s i.O. theater. Stephen loves working with all the talented people in the UCBT community and beyond.
