Earwolf Week at a Glance

Hey Earwolves. Guess what? I’M MOVING! I’m spending this weekend hauling all my stuff from Texas to California and you better believe I’m stuffing my iPod full of great podcasts to make me un-bored and un-panicked. I’ll never not hate going through airport security. Are you in a similar predicament? Let’s see if I can’t get you some fun podcasts to occupy your time this week!

I’m all Halloween vocabulary-and-pun-ed out right now, so I’m going to make this simple: Comedy Bang! Bang! is the special Halloween episode with Messmore and Beauford le Barron (friends of Jon Daly and Brett Gelman, I presume), another visit from last year’s spooky Ghost Boy (who I believe knows Allan McLeod) and first timer (well, I suppose not technically) Neil Campbell. Here’s another Allan McLeod friend:

I’ve been handed a piece of paper that just says “Gelmania.” Oh my god, I think it’s written in blood! I’m not sure what this means, but I’m scared and I needed to tell somebody about this!

I’m sorry to report we have reached the final chapter of The Apple Sisters’ “Halloween Boosical Spooktacular.” I know it is hard to say goodbye, but if it makes you feel any better James Urbaniak stops by! Nothing soothes a broken heart like his smooth voice.

About a month ago Robert Ike III joined Professor Blastoff to talk about nuclear weapons. He’s once again bringing his knowledge to the hatch and this time it’s to discuss the Big Bang. No, I’m not going to make a joke about the sitcom. My sincerest apologies.

We watched Leprechaun In The Hood
As any podcast about bad movies should
On How Did This Get Made?
With Kumail Nanjiani’s aid
This limerick sure wasn’t very good.

Who Charted? Jonah Ray Charted! Jonah’s the first of The Nerdist boys to find his way to the chart orchard. Can’t wait to see what comes of it! Math Rock?!?!?

If you haven’t heard of 5 Second Films yet, get ready for something awesome! They are hilarious short-short-short films with special guests like Patton Oswalt. This week Ben Gigli from 5 Second Films joins Jeff and Dave Mancherje on The Wolf Den.

There is a good chance that you love Grey DeLisle and don’t know it. She was the voice of Stephanie Client (and Tawny Nacho-Client) in the HIT Earwolf podcast Mike Detective and she’s the guest this week on Totally Laime. We get to hear her real voice saying real words that nobody wrote! Yay!

Usually I don’t have the guests for Sklarbro Country ready for you this early. This week I do, but I’m not sure if I should tell you. It might be TOO GOOD! I’ll give you a hint: she’s probably the most requested podcast guest in all of podcasting. That’s right, it’s Maria Bamford! A great end to a great week!
