EP. 1 — Aimee Mann, Brian Stack, Steven Weber

Welcome to the first episode of Reading Aloud with Nate Corddry. Nate loves all aspects of the written word from comedic essays to personal letters. On this episode, the hilarious Brian Stack reads a Simon Rich piece entitled “Guy Walks Into A Bar” which was recorded live at UCB-LA. Then, the compelling Aimee Mann joins Nate in the studio for a chat about her music career, her time at Largo, working with Ted Leo on their new collaboration called The Both, and her reading habits. Finally, the incredible Steven Weber reads a heartbreaking letter written by One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest author Ken Kesey to five of his closest friends shortly after his son had passed away. Don’t forget to participate in the book club by going out and buying “Wolf In White Van” by John Darnielle and send in your thoughts on the book at readingaloudpodcast@gmail.com.
