EP. 183 — The Miseducation of Lauren Tannehill

Filmmaker, co-host of MTV’s Catfish, and silver haired fox Max Joseph makes his podcast debut on today’s Sklarbro Country! Max discusses how his friend Nev became the subject of the film Catfish, following a washed up comedian from the 70s who decides to take another shot at fame after being let go by the SAAB dealership that employed him in his documentary SAAB Story, and his thoughts on the Manti Te’o Catfish story. Later, we hear a special sketch written by Rob Kutner and starring Randy & Jason entitled “The State of the Union” from 2776, an upcoming album uniting comedians and musicians to tell the story of the past, present and apocalyptic future of America. Check out the new release, “I’m Cured,” featuring Aimee Mann, David Wain and Dave Foley on Feb 4 at 2776.us, or live premieres at The Meltdown With Jonah and Kumail (LA 1/29) and Night Train With Wyatt Cenac  (NYC 2/3).
