EP. 7 — Harvey Jason, Rohan Nichol, Erinn Hayes

Happy New Year! Join Nate for another jam-packed episode of Reading Aloud which starts off with Nate’s good friend Rohan Nichol sharing a story that changed the Star Wars canon when he played Captain Raymus Antilles live from UCB-LA. Then, special guest Harvey Jason of Mystery Pier Books joins Nate in the studio to talk about the public’s fascination with first edition books, how the market set for rare books, why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, having a celeb clientele which includes Johnny Depp, and why people are so enthralled with J.D. Salinger. Finally, the wonderful Erinn Hayes closes the show out by reading Lisa Gabriele’s “The Guide to Being A Groupie.” Don’t forget to grab a copy of Denis Johnson’s “The Laughing Monsters” and send in your thoughts on the book at readingaloudpodcast@gmail.com.
