Bitch Sesh: A Real Housewives Breakdown

October 23, 2020

Danielle is blessed to have Bitch Sesh fave Deanna Cheng step in for Casey this week (Happy Birthday Casey!), and they are joined by an even better Danielle, Danielle Henderson (writer and former RHOA recapper for Vulture). (better) Danielle takes us through her favorite Atlanta season, before the fame and plastic surgery, and explains why she thinks the Richards sisters of Beverly Hills have nothing more to give.

Then they dive deep into the glory that is Potomac, including Candiace’s mommy issues, Michael Darby’s daddy issues, and Robyn’s early arrival issues. Sip and See and Listen to this episode, it’s a wild ride that all takes place on Jesus’s back.

Dreams come true during this very special episode of Bitch Sesh. Casey and Danielle sit down with Casey’s mentor/guru/North Star,* the best-selling author, political activist and spiritual thought leader, Marianne Williamson. Marianne did not know she was any of these things to Casey as they had never met. So. They discuss why we are in such a deeply critical moment in time, how to maintain hope while leveling up, Mariannes morning (spiritual) routine and the everyday magical miracles all around us in every interaction. We also find out that much like Luann, Marianne had aspirations to be a cabaret singer but unlike Luann quit because she didn’t think she had a great voice. Lu could take a page. Thursday we will be back talking Housewives. But for now, soak in the Queen who refers to herself as a, “Bitch for God” on Bitch Sesh!

EPISODE NOTES:

Marianne has an upcoming podcast, dropping SOON, called…The Marianne Williamson Podcast! Look for it where you get your podcasts. Not to be missed!

Marianne’s latest book is:

A POLITICS OF LOVE: A Handbook for a New American Revolution

The daily prayer Casey referenced:

Dear God,

Where would you have me go?

What would you have me do?

What would you have me say, and to whom.

Other books we discussed by Marianne:

The Courage to Change

Return to Love

A Course in Weight Loss

Danielle and Casey are thrilled to welcome Mani of the “Mixing with Mani” podcast to the virtual nook, where she shares her insightful thoughts on booty pinching, purse abuse and who she sides with in the fight between Monique and Candiace (hint: it’s neither of the actual women). Plus, this real life school teacher teaches everyone the ins and outs and real estate values of every Potomac neighborhood and house on the show and it is an invaluable education.

Then Casey and Danielel are joined by Nick Axelrod and Annie Kreighbaum, beauty journalists and hosts of the podcast “Eyewitness Beauty” to talk the success and failures of all the housewives beauty brands and what we should actually spend our money on (and it’s not Gretchen Chritine Beaute’). And Finally they are joined by Casey’s dear friend Megan Allan Cole who in these last weeks running up to this election tells us ways in which we can help in the very important state of Pennsylvania.

October 2, 2020

Danielle and Casey are blessed and impressed to have Chris Kelly (Saturday Night Live, Creator of The Other Two) on the pod as they discuss the most dramatic episode of Potomac EVER!!! They dissect each moment of the Monique and Candace fight like it’s the Zapruder film, and only find more questions than answers. Plus, they dive into the other heartbreaks of this episode and this cast, who are giving us ONE HUNDRED PERCENT every episode and deserve all the People’s Choice Nominations (instead of Rinna)

Danielle and Chris then dissect the “never before seen moments” episode of RHONY, which Casey ORDERED them to watch, then failed to watch herself. How Dare!!!

September 25, 2020

In a VERY special episode of Bitch Sesh and a fundraiser for Vote Mama, Casey and Danielle are joined by Scandal’s Katie Lowes, Scott Foley and Josh Malina (who are huge Bachelor stans), to finally settle the battle once and for all of which is better garbage TV, “Real Housewives” or “The Bachelor”?  It’s a fight to the finish, insults are hurled, legs are thrown, and attractions are formed.

Plus Casey and Danielle discuss Ashley’s eerie calm at the wine barn gathering, Robin’s texting faux-pas and why Sonja’s townhouse should be turned into an historical landmark.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended and contributed, we raised $28K for Vote Mama, an organization that supports democratic moms with young children running for office up and down the ballot. If you want to donate or get involved or find out more info visit Votemama.org.

Join Casey, Danielle, June Diane Raphael and Jessica St. Clair for a DEEP discussion and fond farewell to a Housewives adjacent show that has been there for these gals in the darkest of days. The Kardashians. Casey and Danielle talk Housewives and why Rinna must go and then the goodbye’s begin. Kacey Kune and Kessica (get it??!) relive their favorite moments and reveal which Kar Koo Koo they each think they are. Spoiler Alert: June is a Kim, Casey is a Khloe and Jess is a Kris and no one wants to be a Kourtney. Let’s raise a glass and adjust our Skims. Join us.

September 11, 2020

Though California be burning around them, Casey and Danielle are joined by the lovely and insightful, Bravo Historian herself, Sam Bush. Sam wants Rinna and Jayne to go, fondly remembers when Kim Z spelled cat with a ‘k’ and she’s worried about Monique. Casey’s worried about herself because of how in love she is with her new favorite show “Darcey and Stacey” and Danielle laments all that we lost this week. Starting with Denise and ending with Dorit’s new house…

September 5, 2020

Casey and Danielle come to you hungover from their live show and from Dorinda’s final meltdown, both of which they may never recover. It’s the end of the NYC season but thank god we have Viva La Diva to carry us through. They discuss Denise’s reunion lewk, the bird attack heard round the (housewives world), and the undoing of Lisa Rinna.

Plus Deanna Cheng sings (and raps) us home with a sweet new ditty.

August 28, 2020

Casey and Danielle mourn the loss of the matriarch of Blue Stone Manor, Ms. Dorinda Medley, who they are sad to see go, even though they called for her dismissal. Then, hilarious writer and comedian,Chelsea Devantez, joins them to discuss the best ways to cheat on your spouse, why shopping at Payless is not a sob story, and why Karen’s “assistant” is always put in quotations.

Then as an added treat, Chelsea deep dives into her end of summer celebrity book club selections from NeNe Leakes, Jessica Simpson and Leah Remini, one memoir more riveting (and bananas) than the next. Spoiler alert, NeNe literally writes an entire chapter on why Kim Zolciak is garbage.

August 14, 2020

Casey and Danielle are gloriously joined by BFFFF June Diane Raphael who is without her normal nail technicians but not without strangeness surrounding her multi tasking. June is besotted by Leah, wants more Bunny and astutely points out that Lu covering Dorinda’s diarrhea smell with Chanel body wash is basically the entire franchise: Covering shit with Chanel. The girls also say a sad, unexpected goodbye. To June’s therapist.

August 7, 2020

Casey and Danielle are joined by the iconic Ziwe who is officially now one name only and no one is more deserving of one name-ness! They discuss RHONY, Potomac and Bev Hills and Casey admits to a very strange email she’s sent. Danielle continues to try and pick up the pieces of after cartoon gate part TWO.

August 4, 2020

Casey and Danielle are a little late this week (okay it’s already next week), but it’s worth the wait as they have Sasha Morfaw of The Bravo Breakdown and she is giving us laughs, hot takes and straight up knowledge about housewives near and far. Coming straight to us from Sasha’s presence at the Potomac virtual premiere (which Casey and Danielle were NOT invited to) they talk bird attacks, Gizelle’s new (yet old) relationship, Sonja’s bewilderment at her own fashion line and of course BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO.

Plus, they ask the big question that every Real Housewives fan wrestles with, “Does Luann have a heart?” The answer is pending.

July 25, 2020

Casey and Danielle are back in the virtual nook, STILL RIDING HIGH from their two part vacation to Blue Stone Manor in the Berkshires. They are joined by the lovely and funny Marcos Luevanos who is just as invigorated by Leah as Casey is and even more invigorated by her Kimora Lee Simmons Baby Phat sweatshirt. They discuss Ramona’s insipid 63rd birthday party for her BFFFFFF’s and Marcos wonders if maybe – just maybe – Elyse is a ghost. IT’S POSSIBLE.  Casey also sits down with new Below Deck Med correspondent, the legend, Blair Beeken who weighs in on life on the high seas. AHOY.

July 17, 2020

Casey and Danielle got the interview of the ‘tine as they sit down with actress, model, writer, producer, activist, podcasteaur, and now housewife of Beverly Hills, Garcelle Beauvais!! They talk her amazing career, her thoughts on Sutton’s “fashions”, and which Cuomo she wants in her vagina (spoiler, it’s BOTH!!!).

They also discuss the email heard round the world and what it was actually like in the Maison de Girardi. Garcelle is as funny, gracious and open as we dreamed she’d be and it’s not to be missed.

July 10, 2020

Danielle is joined by two SUPERSTAR bitch Sesh faves this week with brilliant guest co-host Akilah Green and the very buff and always hilarious Joel Kim Booster. They talk about the re-opening of Blue Stone Manner and the re-turn of Lu the demon plus the difficulties of rooting for someone when everyone is simply …horrendous . Plus , they discuss why Teddi is the Elyse of Beverly Hills and what room of a restaurant they each would like to redecorate. No more driving lessons, lots more Kim Richards, and many more demands we make of Bravo. Enjoy!
