It’s a starlight night here in the chart orchard and we’ve got three musketeers here to prep you with some charts before Halloween: Howard, Kulap, and our special guest Jimmy Pardo! If cinema has taught us anything, it is that everyone has a bucket list. Even Bob? Even Bob! Why don’t you share your own bucket lists with us on theEarwolf forums? Thanks Jim!

What is there to say about love that hasn’t already been said? It lifts us up where we belong? Nope, been covered. It will lead you back? Nah, I think Taylor Dayne already told us that. Michael Jackson can’t stop doing it, Meat Loaf would do anything for it, and The Beatles think it’s all we need. Where do Tig, Kyle, and David fall on the issue? Find out this week on Professor Blastoff!

There are so many fantastically bad horror films we could have chosen for this Halloween episode of How Did This Get Made?! We’ve combined our love of cheesy horror and unnecessary sequels and selected Leprechaun in the Hood. Are you good at photoshop? This week’s game is for you. Design a better Leprechaun in the Hood poster for us and you might see it on Earwolf.com! Watch the movie, design the poster, get tickets for HDTGM LIVE, and have a spooky Halloween!

Boy, what a fun episode of Comedy Bang Bang we have today! Our old friend Harris Wittels is in the studio with a brand new edition of Harris’ Foam Corner. Our new friend Jon Heder makes a great first impression with an impressive round of Harris’ favorite game What Am I Thinking?! To top it off, our new acquaintance (I hesitate to call him a friend) Hank Williams, Jr. offers up some commentary straight from the zeitgeist and inspires a round of Alive or Dead as well as a ghastly rap battle. Making friends, cracking jokes, learning about each other, isn’t that what Comedy Bang Bang is all about?

Tonight the girls are performing at the Nerdist Theater, but not before they get some good spooks in on their radio show! It’s a freaky Monday over here as the girls encounter some suspicious Frenchmen and explore the dark arts (and each other’s bodies). Halloween is upon us, so avoid those awful haunted houses and enjoy The Apple Sisters’ Halloween Boosical Spooktacular!

You’ve heard Bob’s poetry. You’ve heard his product reviews. In a total chocolate-and-peanut butter incident, we’ve found the two combined for today’s episode. And, uh…sorry about last week.

We were once bitter rivals, and now…best friends? Perhaps it’s too soon to tell, but we definitely adore Tommy Dassalo and Karl Chandler, two of our competitors in The Earwolf Challenge. They came to the U.S. for a brief trip and we just HAD to have them over to talk Australia, sexual harassment, travel stories, and VEGAS! They couldn’t have been nicer or funnier, so enjoy!

Let’s be honest, this is the most boring time of year. What are you going to do? Carve pumpkins with your weirdo friends? Watch the political debates and pretend you know what’s going on? Get high and watch The Wonder Years on Netflix? Loiter at the movie theater? No, you’re going to listen to Glitter in the Garbage with Drew, Scott, and Joe and you’re going to like it!

Steve Heisler has a life that I’m sure many Earwolf fans envy: He writes about comedy for The AV Club, Vulture and Variety, he produces comedy for the Just For Laughs festival, and he performs comedy of his very own! If you aspire to create a career for yourself in comedy production, you’ll want to hear Steve’s story and his advice for other freelancers. What is a podcast? Do podcasts even exist? If you put a podcast in a box with poison and you aren’t looking, is the podcast alive or dead? Are these questions getting annoying? Would you rather me just tell you what the episode is about? Can you tell yet that it is about existentialism? Are you excited to have “cartoon book” author Owen Wiseman back on the show? Will you listen to this episode? Have I figured out how I’m going to end this chain of questions?

Is Aubrey a piano prodigy or a stripper? Is it all real or a piece of creative writing? Is this the worst movie Lindsay Lohan has ever been in or flat out the worst movie ever? These are just a few of the questions I Know Who Killed Me left us with. Ken Marino is our victim this week and he helps Paul, June, and Jason piece together the plot, characters, and ridiculous symbols that make this horror thriller such a bomb. Enjoy, and be sure to pick up your tickets to How Did This Get Made? LIVE at Largo on November 15th!

How many ingredients are in pizza? Can you high five an orangutan? What does the moon do when we’re not looking? The answers to these questions and more can be found in today’s Comedy Bang Bang! Nick Swardson finally found his way back to the studio and is joined by two first time guests: Comedian Brody Stevens and Nic Cage stand-in (and brother) Bob Cage. They guess the misheard lyrics, get on their soap boxes, and ponder “Would You Rather?” their way into Comedy Bang Bang history! And hey, you too can be part of Comedy Bang Bang history too if you pick up either of our new shirts from the Earwolf Store!

Randy and Jason were out of the country (the Sklarbro one, that is) for two weeks and they’ve got to play catch up! From fatal pierogi-eating contestants to dwarf tossing legislation, the boys are finally back in town to deliver breaking news! The guest: Gary Gulman from Last Comic Standing. He was in town for Conan and we snatched him away to talk Divison 1 Football, living with Todd Glass, and his love of grapes. We end it with a call we received a few weeks back from Gary Busey who tells us about his upcoming stint on Celebrity Wife Swap. It’s good to be home! HENDERSON!

October 14, 2011

I’m calling it: Ken Marino is the best dad we’ve ever had on the show! He knows his way around Disneyland, he’s super positive, he knows all the coolest stories (had you guys ever heard of Anpanman?) and he’s got an awesome new kitchen to bake yummy things in! We love Ken as much as he loves sound effects! He’s funny, he’s honest, and we’re looking forward to having him back!

The week Jeff once again breaks the mold of what The Wolf Den is by podcasting all by himself (and with a little help from our brilliant engineer Dustin and our financial miracle worker Dave). We’d like to give you a once over of where Earwolf is right now: What our problems are, how we’re trying to fix them, and what that means for our future. We love all you listeners and always welcome feedback, so don’t hesitate to email thewolfden@earwolf.comand lay it all on us! Thanks

There is an erotic creature loose in the studio! Her name is June Diane Raphael and she’s left her buddies at How Did This Get Made? to countdown the Billboard Tastemakers Chart, the Movie Chart, and to play a quick round of Chart Roulette. She and Howard discuss Devo awareness, commiserate over scares and frights, and define “upstairs” versus “downstairs.” And that’s just a taste! Be sure to listen for the announcement of the 12 Cups of Summah winner, you stumblebums!

Listener Julia should be proud. She’s inspired yet another set of inspirational posters! Hang in there, Julia!

Lindsay Lohan contributed a lot of playful, positive art to the world of family films. And then she did I Know Who Killed Me. This week we watch our favorite Mean Girl transition from plucky teen to psychotic stripper (I think) and we try to do it sober, but in case we can’t we want to hear your ideas for drinking games! Leave them on the forums, pick up a Ridiculous Cage shirt, and come back next week!
